And?
I'm sorry Pie..but you can't expect a personal letter from ANet..(not trying to be rude.)
You must realize the 100's of accounts they close every day? (bots..bots..and more bots.)
Continue the good fight if you feel un justly banned, but rules are rules.

@bobbylr:

I think the reason they ban and then hear people's version of events through support tickets is so that they don't move their gold/items/etc to other accounts or ebay it before they're able to ban, thereby further enabling the banned individuals in some way to benefit again.

we do have tickets. I am sitting on 4 automated responses, 2 surveys, and 1 message I truely dont even know what they are talking about, and I am assuming every thing I have gotten was an automated response.

people who got banned for legitimately farming Faction, which guild wars new about, and didnt fix/ban it took them up to 3 weeks to get an account back, and its only been 3 days. In the two weeks most people got an average of 6 automated responses.

Everyone who sends a report gets an "automated response." That is the first response, before the ticket is sent for human review. If you re-send your tickets, you may get more of those responses. It's normal in the support industry to send automated "This links may help you" responses even while assuring that each ticket is reviewed.

Each appeal will be read by the lead of the Support Team in either NA or EU. No one is being ignored; no appeal is being automatically rejected; everyone will have his/her chance to explain the circumstances. Even the person who entered the area 634 times.

So yes, anyone can and may go ahead and submit a ticket and the appeal will be read, logs will be reviewed, and numbers will be assessed for each and every case.

Seems that i will stay ban because i aded 400k sleeping in my storage, and sure 400 is alot , in the 4000k i did from urgoz greens, 2 000 k from selling sigils, more then 6 000k from farming titan gem as 600, and 5 000k from fff. For once that i was farming somthing only for the fun of it with my friends , just nice~and just bad that it 's from an "exploit" cuz i earn nothing from it(on the money point)
Well i meet my twin there i don't care

Just as everyone keeps saying its all the leet players who got banned, who have put 1000's of hours into this game, yet you want us all to believe that it never once crossed your mind that what you where doing was an exploit and not how the mission was meant to be done.

Sorry no sympathy for any of you.
Not really trying to show off, but I did do Mallyx the hard way many moons ago: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10146676
After that trip I have not killed Mallyx again, not even during this latest episode, and definitely haven't farmed it repeatedly.

Please, would you be kind enough to police this, because whenever I come back to see what is going on in this thread I see post upon post from the same people repeating themselves with things like "Q_Q", etc (I won't stoop so low as to say that a lot of these people probably slow down and have a good look when they see a car crash.. but it's tempting) To be honest it's putting a lot of us off from actually posting anything here.

In response to Gaile's post, can you please answer the question that has been asked several times - i.e - why are we banned and not everyone who went down to exploit, specifically.. the Duncan the black glitch that appeared recently? You must admit that there is a direct similarity between the two, maybe not in terms of actual game mechanics, but in the way it appeared to the person doing it? Most of us thought that it was exactly the same deal, a faster way to do something that would eventually be fixed and the precedents had already been set, so let's enjoy it while it's still here.

And as some others have stated, there is nothing worse than having an actual problem and getting an automated answer, if there are only 117 people can we at least speak to a human being? It's not much to ask.

There is no doubt that IF anyone hacked they should be banned, those that did not use a hack but merley farmed should have gotten a temporary ban at most imo. Tbh i do not regard these farmers as any different than those that exploit UB for the purpose of farming.
I honestly believe these banning's have nothing at all to do with the exploit or the economy, it's simply A-Net try to look tough on these issues after THEY destroyed the economy. My sympathies to those who where banned who did not use a hack, the reality is you are a scapegoat for a problem ANET created.

Far as I'm concerned whether or not you knew the original way you got in was through a hack (apparently a lot of people didn't) I really don't care, most likely because I'm an ass.
We agree on one thing at least.

Her opinion is ANET's opinion. She is the Community Relations Spokesperson for Anet. She will share what Anet's view is. You are just looking to split more hairs to see if you can catch her on something.

For those 117 that say they are only receiving automated responses, keep sending them back, stay on top of it. If they say the are looking into it, give them time to look into it. While they investigate each ticket, I would think sending an automated email is the normal way to go. If you didn't abuse this exploit more than 4 times, you should be getting your account back. Just remember, they have chat logs, times you went in there... name it.

Did Duncan's exploit had something to do with hacking?

lol
They benefited from the same thing for less "work" (didn't have to hack client) and should receive lesser punishment?

So you do?

the whole topic now seems to be, "we were banned because we hacked, but didn't hack". thats not true. some were banned because they exploited a problem created by the hack. and i'm still highly in favor of anet response

(how many times has this post been sad by other people with other words?)

Once again a post by someone who doesnt know.

NO, you didnt have to kill mallyx to do this. you simply had to do the 4 other areas in the quest, beating the other 4 bosses. YOu never had to kill mallyx before you did this.

I had never done doa, other than the 2 parts of the quest you can 600. I didnt know crap about the end boss, or how the quest worked. I did it this way, which was apparently a bug, and got banned. I didnt know it wasnt how the game was meant to be.

The out post wasnt strange. It was exactly like URGOZ or the DEEP in nature. Other than not having 2 NPCS, I didnt even notice, because we formed groups in guild hall, entered the town, entered the mission, exactly how the groups we did for deep and urgoz where run. I never explored this town, or looked around in it. I am told afterwards that there were no NPCS in this town, I dont even know this for fact.

I apologize Gaile, but I went through several automated responses when I sent in support address lag in November 07. I received several generic answers to solutions, and nothing seamed helpful. It was Incident: 071126-002471 and 071110-001559. Your support team has a log of it.

The fact remains, these bans were done with an automated script done on Wednesday 12pm Pacific. That list was printed off listing account names, bans were done.. no reviews made.

Personally knowing Puritan, he means before Anet screwed up the economy with Ursan. After Ursan was introduced, he did the other two areas.

I recieved an automated response telling me my account had been terminated and that no appeal would be taken into consideration. Many people recieved this EXACT same email. So, our accounts have been terminated without anyone even looking into our actions as individuals, and you suggest what? We continue to submit tickets that are greeted with automated responses? Am I ever going to recieve a personalized response indicating that someone has actually taken the time to look into what I personally did? I really despise the fact that you tell the community things are being done, when in fact they are not. Not a single one of us has recieved anything but an automated response after days of sending in genuine appeals.
